No One Like Nina

The_little_black_book_of_styleYou know you love her.  And at times you may even want to be her.  But there is only one.  Nina Garcia that is.  Every week you tune in to Project Runway and every month you read to see what clothes she found interesting for Elle.  And now.  You can have a piece of her.  The Little Black Book of Style by Nina Garcia is finally available.  It’s small, as a little black book should be and informative.  It’s not a manual.  It’s a guide and guidebooks should be small.  The reason.  You can carry it your handbag, and not the IT bag, according to Nina when you need a little help shopping.  This is very helpful for the District Sample Sale that I will be attending next week.  You can actually hear her telling you to find your style, girlfriend.  If you are like me, you will love the drawings by Ruben Toledo.   You may not recognize his name, but you will recognize his work.  Pick up any fall magazine and he’s the artist for the Nordstrom ads.  The drawings of the women are so creative that they make you focus on the clothes.  This is a great book to give those recent college graduates or the young fashionistas in training.  I picked up one for my niece.  You can never learn style to early or the benefits of bronzer and lip gloss.

As Coco Chanel said "Fashion fades, style is eternal."

I am almost through with Tim Gunn’s book and thought I didn’t need another one of the books from Project Runway, but you changed my mind. It is a must-have now.

I was having lunch at Koi today and she was there! I was going to take a picture of her, but then came to my senses… :)
