I’m so excited to finally be in town at one of the National Book Festival. In previous years, I have been working or out of town. This is the first year I can attend and yes, it’s a big one. Due to life plans that are preventing me from going to Paris right now. The ticket has been changed and I’m in the city this weekend. But when man plans and God laughs – he always comes through with something else. This year it’s the NBF. Everyone who reads my site knows I love books, as well as, beauty.
Not only will I be attending the signing, but I’m scheduled to interview a few of my favorite authors. When I asked for a quick interview with Victoria Rowell I was beside myself when it was granted. I loved the Women Who Raised Me and I now I get to interview her and get my book signed. I’m also speaking with Patricia Schultz who wrote 1000 Places to See Before You Die, Stephen L. Carter writer of New England White and The Emperor of Ocean Park. Drumroll: . . . The first female Iron Chef, Ms. Cat Cora. My addiction to the show and the Food Network should come in handy because I’ve watched her kick butt and take names with her cooking.
If you are in the area stop by the festival. If you can spot me among the thousands of people, say hello. I will be the short lady reapplying lip gloss every half hour and straining under the heavy weight of books
"It’s a beautiful day in the neighborhood, would you be mine, could you be mine."
