The first question when I saw the MAC at Lillyland collection was – "where have you been Julia?" It's a collaboration with Lilly Pullitzer. Lilly is known for her warm weather clothing of which I own a few pieces just for the beach.
Here's what the fabulous people at MAC sent over about the lline: "When M·A·C meets the lore and legend
that is Lilly Pulitzer, you get a fabulous and funky fun new chapter: a bit of
Mar-a-Lago, some well-to-do winky-wink,
dash of retro-modern pop culture
mayhem in prints and colours that
make it hip to be in permanent happy land! A collaboration that feels like the best tongue-in-chic resort retort,
with all the wonderful prints and
Key West colour combinations Lilly has done so beautifully since, well,
forever! Fly down to South Florida, with M·A·C in Lillyland!"
Seriously, I've been putting in 70 hour work weeks and I've let my beauty passion take a back seat. With so many emails coming to me on both fronts, preparing for New York Fashion Week, a new travel writing assignment (more on that next month), well I am fit to be tied. On Saturday, I headed to South Beach with le beau for a much needed getaway from the cold to reconnect, recharge, refuel, and recharge. But, I had to give my picks of the Lillyland products that came in my tote.
Lillyland PearlMatte Powder. I'm at the beach. It's all about the shimmy shimmy cocao color.
Cremeblend Blush in Optimistic Orange
I know my brown beauties are questioning my sanity and lack of sleep, but ladies you must try this. I topped it with the PearlMatte Powder as a blush and the lady at Sephora (I hit up Sephora in every city I visit asked for the combination. MAC is actually not far from Sephora
There are no words the name sums it up. This photo does not do this color justice.
