I have been a wine girl since my early 20s. It started with me wanting to learn more about wine and never wanting to feel intimidated by a wine menu. I'm sure we have all been at a restaurant, handed a wine menu, and insecurity of not knowing how to read a wine list. The questions always arise: does red go with meat and/or white with chicken or fish? I always like to say follow your taste buds. If you are interested in learning more go to the library and get a book. But, in the meantime if you are interested in drinking wine pick up Alto Las Hormigas Malbec. I have been a fan of this wine for years. I was first introduced by a friend of mine who said this was his "go-to red" and every winter it is mine. This is a great wine for the holidays. It is so delicious that people will think you spent a fortune when we both know you didn't. Don't worry. I will never tell.

I’m so glad you mentioned this wine. I’ve been to their winery in Mendoza – stunning, and the wine is fabulous too!
J, while browsing the wine aisle in Whole Foods last night to pick up another brand of Malbec when I saw this bottle and remembered your post. Bought it, drank half the bottle last night, it’s delicious!
