I think of food in the same way I think of beauty. It’s an obsession. I should take a photo of my pantry, but it is totally in disarray. I’m in the process of organizing all my spices which I collect when I travel. The collection includes various peppers and salts, but now it’s olive oils. Many moons ago I worked part time at Williams-Sonoma and once you work at a place like that food is never the same. You can taste the difference in quality products. That’s where I discovered McEvoy Ranch oils. I recently ran across their body products, but that’s another post.
I was perusing the Pottery Barn Design Studio Entertaining and came across this olive oil tasting. I did this in Italy a few years ago and it is crazy how you can taste the difference. After reading the labels of most salad dressings I have taken to making my own from scratch. It’s very easy. I use this recipe from Ina Garten.
