As always I’m dreaming of Paris. This weekend is no exception. I have been addicted to French macarons, not to be confused with American macaroons. These are light, flavorful, and divine sweet treats. Last year my friend Laetitia invited a few foodies over to learn how to make these delights from the fab Cecilia. I admit it’s a lot of work, but I was intrigued. Cecilia was a patient teacher and for her it was a labor of love as we jotted down notes, sipped champagne, and talked about everything under the sun. I plan to make a few for the Easter holiday in glorious Spring colors.

where can i get these in the dmv area, premade? ive been wanting to try some forever.
Praline in Bethesda makes good macarons. They rival the ones I ate in Bordeaux …every …afternoon …oops.
