BOYFRIEND Fragrance by Kate Walsh

Last week I had two beauty events in New York which means a 5:30am train to NY and returning home at 1:15am. Yes, it’s a busy day, but so worth it. I had the pleasure or meeting the lovely Kate Walsh and be introduced up close and personal to BOYFRIEND. I said earlier this year that I wouldn’t focus on “celebrity” scents, but I had to write about how different this one is. First, Kate did not do a licensing agreement where a major fragrance house put her name on a fragrance. She is doing it on her own. You go girl.

The scent’s story is another reason why I love it. I used to mix Guerlain Vetiver for Men and a women’s floral scent to get this decadent combination of the feminine and the masculine in one scent. Seriously people would stop me and ask me what I’m wearing because it was so different. This is how BOYFRIEND is to me. It is so different. It’s soft when it needs to be, but there is this kick-butt element of just enough musk, night blooming jasmine, dark plum, and vanilla  that takes it over the edge. I have been wearing this scent every day for the past week. The solid fragrance and roller ball fragrance are on my list to get for summer travel.

I have a HUGE girl crush now on Kate. BOYFRIEND has been added to the fragrance arsenal. Have a yummy weekend full of fun, food, laughter, and beauty.
