Andre Leon Talley spoke last night at the Corcoran Gallery of Art on Spring 2007 fashion. He slowed a concise slide show of his picks for Spring 2007 from New York, Milan and Paris. He is ALWAYS put together and his intelligence spans beyond fashion. He admitted his favorite show on television is the McLaughlin Group. He poses the old Hollywood elegance - tailored suit and shoes. Truly a class act. The night was fun and it made me think of what we will be wearing in terms of color on our skin for spring. Winter doesn't feel like winter here in the east, especially today when it's 70 degrees outside. I feel like I am in Texas, but after falls look of nude lips I think spring will bring out the makeup junkies with a focus on lips and skin.
Beauty News: Stella McCartney junkies get ready. Stella is launching an ORGANIC skincare line through YSL beauty in February called CARE. The line will be available only at 25 Sephora boutiques, online for one year, and then released in other retail locations. This will be a boost for the organic skincare market which sometimes is often overlooked. Rimmel is launching Rimmel Underground which is described as "edgy" and will target a younger woman's market. One of my favorite inexpensive lines, mark by Avon is launching portable compacts that flip. This sounds like so much fun. Each kit will contain four lip glosses on one side and a blush and two eye shadows on the other. Great idea Avon. How cute is this?
Have a great and pretty weekend. May the lipgloss be with you.

Do you know just when the Rimmel Underground cosmetics will show up in stores? I saw them in the new Nylon Magazine but it gives no clue as to when they will be available. I guess I will just go hunting for them.

J,yes he is awesome. I didn't think he would be signing books that's why I didn't bring mine. Now I wish I had gone with my gut and brought them both. If he comes back next year, I am definitely bringing them.
