Today is one of those days that I'm thankful for high-thread count sheets and eye masks. After a few days of burning the midnight oil, which is more like 3am oil, those heavy bags under my eyes look like I ran into a door for the past few days - 36 straight hours of work. One saving grace is shimmer in the corner of the eyes near the tear ducts. This has long been my secret savior during trial when I get the same comments, "wow your makeup really looks good. You don't look like you've only had 4 hours of sleep in three days. Whether or not your are working hard, hardly working or partying like a rock star, shimmer in the corners will make you feel as though you had 8 hours of the best sleep of your life. For work, I leave the Sephora Collection Jumbo Eye Pencil in Flesh. It's a big, fat, gold pencil that you will want to keep at the office for the days you need to look on, even though you know you're off because "just a little dab will do ya."

Toya, I mean for $5 you can't beat that pencil. I actually used a little today as eyeliner and I love it. I used it in the tear ducts again and then add a little gold shadow on top. I look so rested which is the goal.

Girl, just because of this post, I ordered that pencil last night - can't wait to get it! Nothing looks better on a brown girl than a touch of gold!

Whitney, I just received Carmindy's new book and she also uses the highlighter, but I would tell you to look for a pale silver shadow in the tear ducts it will definitely have the same effect. You can even try a pale shadow that you use as a highlighter under your brow bone. Please tell me how this work.

I have very pale asian skin, do you think gold in the inner corner of my eyes would work for me?
