Running for the Forest

Forest_metallic Thanks for all the lively and wonderful comments on my Not So Pretty write up.  But the beauty junkie in me did what she needed to do, i.e., put pen to paper or fingers to key pad and hit send.  I also moved on to more beauty.  Two back-to-back weeks of travel - baby showers, weddings, and teaching yoga; my body is saying "J we need to rest."  So rest is what I'm doing this evening.  But in the meantime for me rest is playing.  I see it now.  I will have a nice meal prepared by moi, wine - always wine, and then afterwards I will play with the new Metallic Eye Collection from Bobbi Brown.  It comes in four collections and this will be great to travel with on upcoming trips.  I decided to only get two - The Velvet Plum and the Forest Metallic.  Both will perfect for fall's glamour face, but since I will be running and gunning for the next few weeks, I decided to run straight to the forest - metallic that is.  I was too tired today to play with my eyes, but the week holds lots of possibilities.

Have a great day.

Julia,

Oh my gosh yes. I don't own much BB stuff and the one time I did venture into purchasing a palette I got burned at how rubbish it was! So these were just delightfully amazing!

;)
Hugs!

A-mused, I was even shocked at how pigmented the colors are. Totally different than most BB stuff, but you are right. They are divine.

Got 3 of the 4 and now I want the 4th ;)

These are too lovely for words. I've never been a great fan of Bobbi Brown and was very disappointed with the Surf and Sand palette or was it the Sand and Surf? Oh my who knows!

Anyway when I purchased that it was quite a disappointment and turned me off to Bobbi Brown in general!

However these were too tempting for words and I'm glad I nabbed them as they are well worth the $! Highly pigmented, super shimmery! Yum!

I bought Forest Metallic and Burnt Sugar @ Neimans last Saturday...at tysons, they served blueberry martinis all day! yum

Keri, you are so right. The photos do not do the shades justice. They are so much more prettier in person.

I really like the colors - originally saw them online and the velvet plum looks nothing in person like it does online. Not as plummy - more deep taupe. They are still beautiful colors and glad I purchased, but the web colors are deceiving on only the velvet plum collection. Love your blog!

Ooohh, I bought Forest last week. So far I have used the two darkest shades as liner over my black gel ink. BEAUTIFUL! Especially the last color, it's gorgeous as liner. I'm getting velvet plum next. It's so much prettier in person and the colors are awesome! Have fun playing with them.

I saw the new BB eye colors, they are beautiful. I think I will like the Velvet Plum
also.
