It's the weekend and I'm so ready for it. The NFC and AFC championships are this weekend and this determines who's going to the Super Bowl. Plus, Monday is MLK day and this lady can definitely use the holiday to regroup, reassess, and chill before heading on a quick beauty trip to NY on Tuesday evening.
Please have a beautiful, lovely, safe, relaxing, food and wine filled weekend.
Les Bises and Amour. (Kisses and Love in French)
- Guerlain is really trying to expand into more of the color cosmetics line. I have seen a few gorgeous shadows that I must have fun spring. They are already known for their Terracotta, Meteorites, and Kiss Kiss lipsticks, but this new mascara just might send them to the next level. Le 2 de Guerlain (photo above) is a two ended brush mascara - with the larger wand for the upper lashes and the smaller for lower and inside corners of the eye. The mascara is developed with polymers to hold and provide more volume to lashes instead of a traditional wax. The mascara will be available in March at Saks, Neiman Marcus, and Sephora. It globally launches in April.
- Versace is releasing Versace Pour Homme this year. It will release in Italy in April, the rest of Europe in May, and the U.S. in August. After the success of Versace Pour Femme, they are hoping for a repeat performance.
- Tom of Finland's new scent will require identification. Etat Libre d'Orange, his latest, features very racy sketches by artist Tom of Finland. You must be 21 years or older to purchase. The scent hits shelves in February.
- Jean Paul Gaultier is launching a skincare and color cosmetics for men apply titled Monsieur. The color line will include bronzers, self-tanning gels, concealers, and lip balms. The skincare line will have face scrubs, shaving creams, aftershave gels, eye and face care, and face washes. It will be available in the U.S. in April in a few specialty stores.
- Lancome announced this week two new beauty ambassadors Juliette Binoche and Laura Morante. But, the highlight of the launch is knowing that the Lancome Hypnose Onyx mascara is finally coming out by summer.
- Borghese is launching a mass market product line which will be available. The line will include hand, foot, and nail products including polish.
- Kerastase has created a three-item line for highlighted hair called Reflection Chroma Riche. It features a shampoo, conditioning masque and a softening serum. The products will be available in February.
- HSN launches Plastic Surgeon's David Watts eight piece product line called Complexions which was created to "prevent or prolong the need for plastic surgery."
- Salon Selectives, the hair care line, is reentering the mass market.
