Gillette Venus Embrace v. Gillette Mach3 Turbo

Venus_embrace Let's talk legs, gorgeous gams, or whatever you want to call the length from your hip to your toe (as Julia Roberts said  in Pretty Woman).  For me, I don't shave everyday, but when I do the task still needs to be an experience.  Well, after reading information on the new Gillette Venus Embrace I decided to give it a try.  I did.

It's nice, but does not thrill me the way the Mach 3 Turbo does.

The Venus Embrace is catered to women, but the Mach 3 Turbo in my opinion works better.

Mach_3_turbo_2 The VE is a beautiful color, but my issue is that the four blades are too close and that the hairs get caught up in the blades.  In comparison the Mach 3 Turbo blades are larger, further apart, and cover the surface area of the leg.  I don't test many razors, but with the ones I do, I still haven't found any to compare to a man's razor.

I know a lot of women who use men's razors because they think they are better - which they are.  In my opinion, I want you to give me something and something better than the boys get.  I want blades that do their job, an ease with handling, a workhorse razor, and sensuously smooth legs.

Gillette if you did it for the boys, you can do it for the girls.

I love my Mach Turbo. I bought and tried the Venus shaver and ended up throwing it away (wish I hadn't bought the extra refills). The problem came when I accidentally slid the razer sideways and removed a "chunk" of my rear calf!!! Took weeks to heal and I have a terrible scar. The angle of the blades are strange and make it difficult to shave safely. I've heard this same complaint from others. Be very careful girls!

I used the Mach 3 Turbo for years because I was convinced men's razors give a closer shave. I recently switched to the women's Schick Quattro, and I'm still convinced this is true. But at least I'm not getting cuts anymore.
