I have been fascinated with Ree Drummond's Pioneer Woman Cooks for a few months. As a foodie and a cook I am always on the hunt for cookbooks. My collection is vast and I always find myself referring to old ones and looking forward to new ones. One of the cookbooks that I keep going back to is Pioneer Woman Cooks. The cookbook reads just like Ree's blog which I have been addicted to for awhile.
The food photography sucks you and even if you are a non-cook makes you want to pull out an apron, cast iron skillet, and your appetite. I like to think I'm a great cook. I belong to a CSA, buy locally, and make the majority of my food from scratch. The thought of eating ranch salad dressing from a bottle gives me shivers and this is why I love Ree's books.
Cooking from scratch made easy and delicious. Ree's recipes are easy such as her egg-in-the-hole recipe which comes in handy once a week. It's the perfect meal for one and with a glass of Syrah I'm in heaven. She has one of the easiest recipes for baked spaghetti in which I use jumbo lump crab meat instead of chicken and there is never any leftover.
Ree's background is great as well. On the way to a new job in Chicago she goes home to Oklahoma, falls in love with a cowboy who has this Manolo wearing lady on a ranch in no time flat. Ree's passion for cooking, food, her family, and life wraps me up like a warm blanket. I've never met her, but she seems like my kind of lady. The kind that loves a good lip gloss, meal, glass of wine, and lots of laughter.. To all my cooks and want-to-be-cooks. Order this book now. You won't be disappointed.

Why is the enemy cat?I like cats, because they are very docile. But even the dogs don't like mice, as far as I know, the dog will go after them, and seize it.
