Lovely winter we are having this spring! I know it’s technically spring, but the wind and the lower temperatures has me doubting my spring commitment. It’s all good. Spring brings pollen, allergies, and new scents. Dolce & Gabbana’s Dolce scent is putting a bright smile on my face. The scent is a great combination of amaryllis, daffodils, lilies tossed with a few notes of wood and musk. Domenico Dolce says, “this is the picture of Sicily that I carry within me, and the one captured in this delicate fragrance.” I’ve been to Sicily and the aroma of food, flowers, and sea are enchanting. I’m so happy to add Dolce to the fragrance arsenal! Spring is looking beauty-full! Dolce, it is so good to be spritzed by you.
Red lipstick has been my 2012 thing. I am now trying, testing, swiping, and applying them every week. Some are better than others and Dolce & Gabbana’s Monica Lipstick Collection is one of the best. I love creme lipsticks. Metallics are okay, but a good creamy lipstick will always make my day. I have also ventured into other colors – hot pinks and oranges. The craze that is the bold lip is still hot and heavy and I can’t get enough. It is one trend I hope never goes away. It is fun and adds variety to my normal beauty routine. I have reverting back to my teenage beauty days – nail polish changes multiple times a week and lipstick changes hourly. It is so much fun being a girl.
I’m wearing Italian Monica and my stylist Monica is wearing Attractive Monica .
My love of lipstick is slowly coming back. For years I have been a lip gloss girl and slowly I’m finding my way back to lipstick. Of course, I wanted to do it with a punch and a beautiful red lipstick. Dolce & Gabbana’s Classic Cream Lipstick in Scarlett won the coveted spot this month. This photo was taking with my iPhone using the Instagram App which I am totally in love with. This is a creamy and luxurious lipstick with sick gold packaging that looks divine when you pull it out of a handbag. I paired it with red nails. Yes, I’m that girl that wanted my nails to match my lipstick. I can be old school like that at times.
