The Cheeks Have It

Pure Color Cello Shots

I am so in love with Estee Lauder’s Cello Shots for cheeks. This little pops of beauty color are absolutely perfect for a summer lightweight beauty face. The reason I love them is because they are so lightweight, but deliver so much color for the cheeks. I’ve actually used this on top of some of my blushes and it doesn’t feel heavy at all. I am a quick glistener.

Yes, I created this term because who wants to say they sweat a lot. I don’t. Well, these are perfect for the girl who glistens quickly. After a few days of spring-like temps, it’s been super hot here on the east coast and these beauties are in constant rotation on my face. I don’t care if fall is arriving in most stores, the heat is here until late September and I think you need these in your lifestyle.

This Beautimous Life: June 27, 2013

I am so ready for the weekend. I have been working on blog stories, finalizing the new look of the blog, and trying to get through all the books and products I need to review. I’m excited for yoga with one of my favorite teachers and then a decadent lunch to catch up. I am also looking forward to a luxurious bath with some new bathing goodies. I am looking forward to a much needed pedicure and packing for my family reunion next week in Louisiana. I can’t wait to see my mom and aunt again. Yes, I’m happy to see the rest of my family, but these to ladies are my heart. I hope you have a lovely weekend full of sunshine, laughter, and fun. What are your plans?

Estée Lauder Mad Men Collection Blush

EL Mad Men Blush

I have to admit that I have never seen an episode of Mad Men. I know that sounds crazy. But, I never got into it. I love the fashion from the era, but watching it not so much. I’m trying to limit my TV viewing time and I can’t add another show. I didn’t even realize that a new season of The Borgias started last night. I need to do a fast recap of that as well.

Let’s get back to this Estée Lauder Men Collection Blush in Light Show and why it is perfect for spring. I use it as a highlighter on my cheekbones and it makes any blush color pop. The shimmery-peachy color is part of the repertoire. The compact is so beautiful that I like to leave it out like a piece of art. I can’t get enough of how much fun it is to look at every day – just like Don Draper. I might not watch the show, but I definitely know Jon Hamm.

This blush will be on my cheeks all spring.

{As you can see the blush is darker in real beauty life}

Game Changer: Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Eye Serum

ANR Eye Serum

Estee Lauder’s Advanced Night Repair Eye Serum is a game changer. It has been in my carry-on for a weeks now and I can’t believe that I hadn’t added it to the standard beauty arsenal. Well, I can say it’s in both locations now. I have always been a fan of their Advanced Night Repair for the face and this new addition has been happily getting along with their big beauty sister. I definitely needed as much skin and eye help I could get this weekend after spending the past 72 hours flying to California and returning on the red eye. It’s all good. I at least got to see my beauty blogging best friend Erika and that is always a good thing.

Happy Monday!

Nailing It With Estee Lauder Spring 2013 Pure Color

Estee Lauder Pure Color Nail Color

Who’s ready for Spring? I am and I am waiving both hands with newly lacquered nails from Estée Lauder. Today is a dreary day here in the Washington, DC area. It’s cold, rainy, and the type of weather for sitting on the couch sipping tea, reading a good book or watching Downton Abbey on my DVR, and painting my nails a new color to get my beauty hopes up for better weather. I see why people live where the sun shines a lot. I’m craving for warmth, sand, and bright nails. Are you? I think I will be rotating these colors over the next week. I can hear le husband right now, didn’t you just paint your nails? Yep! And I’m doing it again.

Nail Colors from left to right: Dilettante – a beautiful turquoise, Narcissist – a bubble gum pink, and Insatiable – a beautiful purple and lilac combination.  Plus, this week’s New Yorker magazine. This cover is so much fun.

Girl Crush: Aerin Lauder’s New Makeup Collection

It’s no secret I have a huge girl crush on Aerin Lauder. It goes back to loving Estee Lauder since childhood. Mama Dear turned me on to Estee at a very young age. Now Aerin has stepped out with a few of her own beauty products and essentials that are right up my alley for fall. They are the perfect compliment to to her understated and sophisticated elegance that I have grown to watch over the years. Seriously, look at the photo above. I need that big gold chunky necklace in my lifestyle.

I have my beauty eye on the following products: Rose Lip Conditioner, Weekend Fall Style Palette, lipstick in Pout for Weekday, and lip gloss in Perfect Nude for Weekday. I cannot wait to rock them weekday or weekend.

Love this girl!

Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess Capri Eau Fraîche

I usually don’t miss any of Estee Lauder’s Bronze Goddess Collections, but I’m never this late to the fragrance party. Enter Bronze Goddess Capri Eau Fraîche my lightweight, airy, and divine summer love. Each year they keep getting better with the Bronze scents. I’ve been to Capri twice. It is such a magical and beautiful destination. I cannot wait to return with le beau so he can understand why I am always raving about Capri.

The scent reminds me of the summer. It is lightweight and not overpowering. I love a strong scent, but I do try to lighten it up in the summer. I have been wearing this to yoga, but only a few sprays. I’m glad that I have a perfume atomizer because I plan to bring this scent with me to Jamaica in June. A girl can never be without her fragrance.

Estée Lauder’s Wild Violet Collection – Spring 2011

Estée Lauder’s Wild Violet Collection for Spring is the perfect way to start off a Monday morning.  As you can tell from the new layout of the site some major changes went on this weekend.  We are still tweaking the site, I’m still learning, and the beauty show must go on.  Plus, I’ve learned my lesson about drinking caffeine after 3pm because I’m buzzing like bee functioning on two hours of sleep.  But, I digress and it’s time to head back to this gorgeous color collection that my face is waiting to embrace  in the next few weeks.

This Wild Violet beauty creation was created by Tom Pecheaux and has me drooling for me.  I admit at first I thought this gloss was going to be a little too much for me.  But, it’s super sheer so if you want the pop of color you have to use the lipstick as well.  Who’s complaining? Definitely not me.  The thought of putting away my puffy coat is something I’m looking forward to.

This collection has me ready for spring and all that it brings: outside dining, ballet flats instead of boots, flip-flops, and flirty dresses like this from Anthropologie.
