Bonmarché has given a few warm-weather dressing tips just in time for the temperature drop. Dressing for autumn and winter can be a stressful experience, but these tips will help women make the most of fashion in the cooler weather. Warm doesn’t have to mean bulky, look for thin knits that will keep you cozy without obscuring your shape. You can also layer a fitted blouse or thin top over a thermal under vest. Layering is also great if you will spend your day switching between the cold outdoors and heated buildings.
Avoid overly flowing garments as they can make you look shapeless. Belt a warm cardigan at the waist to show off your curves.
Your coat is one of the most important items in your winter wardrobe. After all, no matter how nice your outfit, your coat will be covering it up for much of the day. Look for specially designed plus-size ladies coats rather than sized up versions of slim cuts. They are more likely to be flattering to your figure.
You can convert your summer dresses to autumn use by pairing them with warm leggings and a cozy cardigan.

Burberry is always one of my favorite London fashion shows. As much as I enjoy long maxi dresses and flip flops for summer, it’s always great to see their Spring line of trench coats because I can still dream of Spring like weather. There’s a crispness in the air every morning which I love. This silk trench may be part of Burberry’s fall collection, but can definitely work for Spring. Maybe it’s time I jet across the pond for pub fare, high tea, and crumpets. It’s been a long time since I’ve been to London. Hmm, maybe while I’m there I can hit up the Burberry outlet.
Here’s a link to the live stream of the show. http://live.burberry.com/syn_sept2011/example.html

I can usually judge an awesome beauty product by my desire to put in a travel size container. It’s a 10 Leave-in Plus Keratin is just that product. I used the original It’s a 10 before. Although I thought it was great, I didn’t think about making it into a 3 oz. product. That all changed with this one. The product is hydrating and lightweight enough that I can add a curling product to my hair and it doesn’t weigh it down. I’m heavy handed with my curl products so having a lighter leave-in is essential (I know I should go easy, but it’s so hard). This will be a perfect product to add to my after beach hair routine. The salt, sand, and sun always wreaks havoc on my hair. It’s a 10 is available at select salons and on Amazon.
When I was in middle and high school I rarely wore pants. I was totally a dress and skirt girl. I didn’t wear jeans either. I bought my first pair of designer jeans in 2002 and still to this day only own three pairs of jeans and two are white. Love me some white jeans in the summer. Next came college and working in corporate America and the pant suit stayed in my life for a long time. I do love getting dressed up or wearing a nice suit, but I j’adore maxi dresses in the summer. I lived in leggings the entire fall and winter. I wore them under tunics, dresses, and super long sweaters. It’s time to say bye-bye to them for a few months.
Summer is right here and I can’t wait to dine alfresco, buy peonies, and wear my dresses again. I was having a conversation with a friend on our mutual love of these dresses and how most guys can’t stand the way they look. We both laughed knowing that most women dress for other women and they really didn’t have a clue. I’ve selected some cute dresses from Very, Nordstrom, and Shopbop to give you inspiration if you are in the market to buy a summer maxi dress. I’m in the market to grab at least three maxi dresses that will get me through summer and resort season.

K & Co., is a shopping destination from one of my favorite city across the pond – Great Britain. I’m reading a lot of royal wedding information that’s feeding into my frenzy. When I started researching the brand I started looking at the stats and where a lot of my readers come from. Lo and behold I have a high UK following.
I always assume that all my readers are from the U.S. and it’s nice to know I’m read across the pond. K & Co. carries fragrances that I aren’t available in the U.S. yet so I’m green with envy. The Estee Lauder Bali Dream is only available overseas and my bottle is running out.
I think it’s time I plan a jaunt to London.

A few years ago I was able to visit Santorini. This glorious Greek isle was the perfect back drop to a Mediterranean vacation in 2006. I am planning a Greek adventure again for 2012. I miss the fresh food, the sun, and ouzo. Santorini is known for this magnificent and vibrant blue on top of buildings. Imagine my delight when Kimberly’s TranquiliT clothing featured this insane blue called Santorini. I knew I had to have the new longer cardi-wrap in this color. I’m planning lots of color for Spring and Summer. I’m obsessed with everything Santorini blue. On Sunday I heard someone say “I’ve heard of this thing called Spring. I’m trying to find it.” So am I.

Butter London’s Blagger Nail Lacquer. This is a must have for my nails.
It’s easy to see why so many women love DVF clothing. She is always elegant and her belief that women can do anything is empowering. My friend Anne has given me great fashion tips over the years on clothing that pulls double duty for travel. Anne swears by DVF and all her cover ups.
This DVF is a perfect example of beach wear that transitions from the beach to dinner. I am lusting after this DVF Zuzu Cover-Up. I love the coral color, sleeve length, and the pockets in the front. I can definitely pair the top with white jeans which I live in during the spring and summer.
I know there is this weird fashion belief that you can’t wear white before Easter, but I follow my own rules and will wear white if I want to.
