A deep like is what I am feeling with Kiehl’s Rose Arctica Anti-Aging Balm. Deep. It’s rich enough to go all the way into the nooks and crannies of my laugh lines and bags, but light enough to allow my concealer to easily be applied. Yep, I have under eye bags, but this is making them much better. I am back to running which means I am getting up even earlier than normal. The Body Beautiful Campaign is still in full effect. This is what happens when your girlfriend tells you “let’s run a half marathon together.” Okay, I say. Let’s do one in January and one in August. Umm, yeah, sure. Then I realize that means I have to get up even earlier in the morning to run. I go to bed early as it is, but I still need a lot of help with the eye area every now and then. Well more like now all the time.

I decided to start a new skincare routine with my Clarisonic. I normally use a creamy cleanser, but I wanted to try it with a foaming cleanser. I have been working out like crazy and all that sweating has produced tiny bumps on my forehead and sides of the face. I realized that my super gentle cleanser was not cutting it. I needed a little something, something. Aveeno Clear Complexion Foaming Cleanser to the rescue with my Clarisonic. I used Kiehl’s Rare Earth Pore Cleansing Masque afterwards and my face has been saying a huge thank you. This masque makes my face tight. I thought it was just me until I asked le husband did he notice a difference and said “tight” was well. Let’s hear it for the boy.
This Sunday routine is a keeper until the fall when I change with the season.
My beloved Kiehl’s has charmed me again with their Midnight Recovery Eye Treatment. The laugh lines around my eyes were feeling very dry, but I don’t like a heavy eye cream during the day. I couldn’t understand what was happening, but I wanted a light eye cream for the morning that hydrated, reduced the appearance of fine lines, and allowed my concealer to go in flawlessly. This does it all. I didn’t think I would like that it’s in a tube (part of my weird eye cream idiosyncrasy), but it’s perfect for my beauty travel kit. I just have to remember to take it out after each trip.
I usually follow instructions well. But, there are times we I don’t. This was clearly evident with Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate. Ladies, I won’t tell you to try this at home unless you are used to doing, but the combination of adding the Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate to your night cream will add to your skin’s happiness.
The real directions tell you to add 2-3 drops of the oil onto fingertips and gently pat all over the face. It’s also important not to rub the product in, but I couldn’t help it. I rubbed my own personal beauty concoction deep into my weary winter-tired skin and woke up happy with the results.
Kiehl’s if you could come up with the same product for the body I would be grateful. Seriously.
