Destination Pretty: Canyon Ranch’s Beauty Week ~ April 9-15

I love the idea of Canyon Ranch Miami Beach’s Beauty Week. Canyon Ranch is a premier spa in Miami for wellness, relaxation, and getting back to yourself. Plus, it’s Miami and you can never go wrong with Miami. As a beauty and yoga enthusiastic this is right up my alley. Too bad I’m in Mexico, but if all goes well it will be on my radar next year. It is going to be a packed week of yoga clothing trunk shows, mini-facials, and more with representatives from MoroccanOil, Clarisonic, and Oribe.

The wellness aspect on topics such as beauty comes from within, discovering your beauty, and healthy habits = beauty are just a few of the workshops on hand for this week. Do not think that just because it’s about beauty you cannot get your workout in. They have yoga, nia, belly dance, and buff ballet booty. I am a firm believer that the skin needs to sweat to release toxins so all this physical activity sounds just as relaxation as the beach.

By the way, the hotel is directly on the beach just in case you need a water walking meditation.

Loews Miami Beach Girlfriend Getaway

Loews Miami Beach is at again.  It’s the second annual Girlfriend Getaway and it takes place April 29 – May 1.  It’s the largest girlfriend getaway of its kind.  The weekend is geared for girlfriends of all ages to relax, savor, and find peace in our hectic and busy lives.  The weekend includes a breakfast buffet at Preston’s brasserie, complimentary happy hours, poolside beauty services, swag bag, and access to the fitness center (if that is your sort of thing on vacation).   The hotel has direct access to the beach, seven restaurants, an elegant boutique where you can pick up resort  and beach wear by DVF and Trina Turk, oceanfront pool and boasts an Elemis Spa where I would spend most of my time.  In the words of Susan L. Taylor, former Essence Editor-in-Chief “Give Yourself to Yourself, Before You Give Yourself Away.”  Every woman could use a little “me time.”  Why not do it with other ladies who are doing the same.

Priced at $499 per person.
